Hukoomi Simplifies Process for Getting Vehicle Exit Permit

Qatar's e-government portal Hukoomi has simplified the procedure for acquiring a vehicle exit permit outside the country and driven by someone other than the vehicle owner. 

Individuals can submit their applications for the permit through the Ministry of Interior's (MoI) website or the Metrash2 app.

The procedure involves the following steps:

• Login to the MoI-services portal with your smart card. 
• Select transaction type (personal for smart card owner or company name for authorized person)
• Go to Traffic Services, then the Vehicles page, and the Vehicles Exit Permit page. 

• Enter the required details under the driver details page such as the driver QID. 
• Select permit duration under the Permit Details page. 
•  The permit fees must be paid under the Fees Payment page. 

The fees for the vehicle exit permit are as follows:

•  Exit Permit for single trip: QR5.

•  Multiple trips during three months: QR25.
•  Exit permit for multiple trips during six months: QR5.

Individuals must have a smart card to acquire a vehicle exit permit and this simplified process of acquiring the exit permit will remove the hassle of visiting various offices.
