Qatar Updates Fees for Work Permits and Recruitment Services

Qatar’s Ministry of Labour (MoL) has revised its fee structure for work permits, worker recruitment, and the attestation of official documents, following the issuance of Labour Decision No. (32) of 2025 in the Official Gazette on Thursday.

The updated decision introduces changes across several services, with some fees increased, others reduced, while a few remain unchanged.

Increased Fees

  • Replacement of work permit (lost or damaged) for workers in private companies, associations, institutions, and individuals.
    • Previous: QAR 50
    • New: QAR 100

Decreased Fees

  • Issuance and renewal of work permits annually for workers recruited by spouses or relatives.
    • Previous: QAR 500
    • New: QAR 100
  • Issuance of licence to practise worker recruitment activity from abroad.
    • Previous: QAR 10,000
    • New: QAR 2,000

Unchanged Fees

  • Replacement of recruitment licence (lost or damaged): QAR 1,000
  • Replacement of work permit for workers recruited by spouses or relatives: QAR 100
  • Renewal of recruitment licence: QAR 2,000
  • Attestation of seals, contracts, and certificates: QAR 20
  • Issuance and renewal of work permits annually for workers in private companies and institutions: QAR 100

The Ministry confirmed that companies, associations, institutions, and individuals will remain exempt from fees in cases where attestation relates to Qatari citizens, children of Qatari women, and GCC citizens.

The move is expected to streamline recruitment services and make processes more cost-efficient for certain categories of workers and employers.
