MetroLink Announces Temporary Service Updates from Jan 15 Evening to Jan 16 Afternoon

MetroLink riders, quick heads-up before you head out. Some bus routes are getting a temporary remix late Thursday night into Friday afternoon. The changes kick in at 10 PM on January 15 and last until 2 PM on January 16, so planning ahead will save you the stress.

Here’s what you need to know.

When the changes happen

The temporary service updates will run overnight from 10 PM on January 15 through 2 PM on January 16, 2026. If you’re commuting late or heading out early, double-check your route.

Routes that won’t run

M138 – Fully suspended during the update period.

Routes with adjusted stops

Several buses will still run, but with new starting points or skipped stops:

M105 – Will start from DECC Station, Exit 3, with some intermediate stops skipped.
M108 – Will skip Al Bidda Station.
M143 – Will operate from Hamad Hospital Station, Exit 3, instead of Corniche Station.
M144 – Will operate from The White Palace Station, Exit 2, instead of Corniche Station.
M315 – Will skip Museum of Islamic Art Park and Doha Port stops.

What commuters should do

If your usual route is on this list, it’s best to leave a little earlier or look at nearby stations as backups. These changes are short-term, but they can still mess with a tight schedule.
