Your Transportation Guide to the AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023

The exciting AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023 which is taking place from Jan. 12 to Feb. 10 will be hosted at nine stadiums and here is how you can reach the AFC Asian Cup stadiums. 

Doha Metro is linked to five of the venues, which will make it easier for fans to travel to these select stadiums on match days. 

Ticket holders for the AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023 will be provided free metro rides at Doha Metro. 

This offer is only applicable for ticket holders and they will get a free ride on the metro on the day of the match they are attending. 

Doha Metro is Connected to Five Stadiums

The five stadiums that Doha Metro is connected to are the following:

• Lusail Stadium
• Al Thumama Stadium
• Education City Stadium
• Al Janoub Stadium
• Ahmad bin Ali Stadium

Using the metro to travel will help fans reach these stadiums on time, instead of being hindered by the traffic on the roads when travelling by car.

Free Public Bus Services for Four Stadiums

Football fans can also use the public bus for free during the AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023.

The free bus services will be provided for the following stadiums:

• Al Bayt Stadium: Commuters can catch the bus to this stadium in Lusail. 
• Al Janoub Stadium: Fans can catch the bus to this stadium from Al Wakra. 

• Al Thumama Stadium: Football fans can get on the bus at the Free Zone station to travel to Al Thumama Stadium. 
• Abdullah bin Khalifa Stadium: Public commuters can get on the bus at Qatar University station to reach this stadium.

If not the public bus, fans can also use the free shuttle services to get to these stadiums from the nearest metro station. 

Public Transporation for People with Disabilities

People with disabilities wanting to use public transport can travel through the Doha Metro network or use the Lusail tram and buses as these transportation services provide wheelchair access.
