Mowasalat Makes Smartcard Scanning Mandatory for Metrolink Services

Mowasalat Qatar announced yesterday that riders will be required to tap in and tap out when using Metrolink services starting October 1, 2023.

Mowasalat Qatar also announced that the Metrolink service will remain free of charge and that commuters can use their Karwa Smartcard or the QR code from the Karwa Journey Planner App to tap in and tap out. The QR code ticket can be accessed on the home screen or in the "Card Management" section of the app.

Mowasalat Qatar also announced that passengers only need to download the QR ticket once and that it will be valid for all Metrolink journeys.
