Qatar Extends Hajj 1447 AH Registration Deadline to This Date

The Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs (Awqaf), represented by the Hajj and Umrah Affairs Department, has announced an extension of the registration period for the Hajj 1447 AH season until Saturday, November 15, 2025.

The extension follows a surge in public demand and numerous inquiries about this year’s registration process. Interested applicants can continue to register through the Ministry’s official website, hajj.gov.qa, until the new deadline.

According to Ali bin Sultan Al-Musaifri, Director of the Hajj and Umrah Affairs Department, the decision was made in response to the overwhelming response to the early registration campaign launched earlier in October.

“The increasing turnout reflects the eagerness of those wishing to register to perform the fifth pillar of Hajj, as well as the confidence that Qatari pilgrims place in the distinguished services and organization provided by the Qatari Hajj Mission annually,” Al-Musaifri said.

He emphasized that obtaining a medical fitness certificate accredited by health centers across the country is a mandatory step before registration. This requirement aligns with regulations set by Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Hajj and Umrah to ensure the safety and well-being of all pilgrims.

Al-Musaifri clarified that the initial payment of QAR 10,000 made upon campaign selection is not a registration fee but an advance payment deducted from the total cost of the Hajj package, which varies depending on accommodation and service levels.

For the 1447 AH Hajj season, Qatar has been allocated a quota of 4,400 pilgrims, with 27 licensed campaigns approved to operate. The Ministry has coordinated closely with Saudi authorities to streamline the electronic Hajj process and travel logistics.

Al-Musaifri also urged applicants to contact the Hajj and Umrah Affairs Department via the hotline 132 for any inquiries or complaints.

He concluded by reaffirming the Ministry’s commitment to facilitating a safe and spiritually fulfilling pilgrimage experience:

“These arrangements embody the Ministry’s mission to serve the guests of God from Qatar and ensure that pilgrims perform Hajj in a secure and faithful atmosphere.”

The extension highlights Qatar’s continued efforts to provide efficient and organized services for its pilgrims, reflecting strong cooperation between Qatari and Saudi authorities in preparation for Hajj 1447 AH.
