Qatar Airways has officially announced the resumption of flight operations between Doha and key destinations across the Middle East, marking a significant step in the recovery of regional air connectivity. The airline has reinstated daily services to the United Arab Emirates and is preparing to launch flights to Syria later this month.
Effective immediately, the carrier has resumed daily flights to Dubai International Airport (DXB) and Sharjah International Airport (SHJ). These routes are part of a broader phased restoration of Qatar Airways' global network, following a mid-April announcement regarding the expansion of its flight schedule. Additionally, the airline confirmed that daily service to Damascus International Airport (DAM) in Syria is scheduled to commence on May 1, 2026.
These developments come as the airline prepares for a major network expansion. Starting June 16, 2026, Qatar Airways intends to operate flights to more than 150 destinations across six continents. This ambitious growth plan proceeds despite ongoing geopolitical tensions and logistical disruptions affecting the wider Middle East region.
To accommodate passengers affected by previous schedule changes, Qatar Airways has introduced flexible rebooking policies. Travelers with confirmed bookings for dates between February 28 and September 15, 2026, are eligible for complimentary date changes.
These changes allow passengers to reschedule to a new travel date up to October 31, 2026, subject to seat availability and fare seasonality. Furthermore, the airline is offering affected customers additional fee-free changes and refunds for the unused value of tickets for impacted flights until the end of October.
The airline is advising all passengers to monitor their travel plans closely by checking the official Qatar Airways website or mobile app. Customers are also urged to ensure their contact details are up to date to receive timely notifications regarding flight status and operational updates.
