Qatar Bans Delivery Motorcycles from 10 AM to 3:30 PM

Qatar’s Ministry of Labour announced a temporary ban on delivery motorcycle operations from 10:00 am to 3:30 pm daily, effective June 1 through September 15, 2025.

The suspension aims to protect delivery riders from heat stress during the country’s intense summer months.

Protecting workers from summer heat risks

This move focuses on safeguarding workers who face direct sun exposure while on motorcycles during the hottest parts of the day.

The Ministry stressed the importance of health and safety in line with Qatar’s commitment to improving worker conditions and reducing heat-related illnesses.

Compliance mandatory for delivery companies

All delivery services using motorcycles must follow this rule to avoid penalties. Services can continue before 10 am and after 3:30 pm, allowing businesses to operate during cooler hours.

This regulation is part of Qatar’s broader efforts to ensure safer working conditions amid rising temperatures.
