Qatar to Test Public Robotaxi Rides at Old Doha Port

Self-driving rides are officially hitting Doha’s streets — at least for a day.

Mowasalat Qatar (Karwa) has announced a public Robotaxi trial at Old Doha Port, giving residents a chance to experience autonomous transport up close.

When and Where the Trial Is Happening

The Robotaxi trial will take place on January 26, 2026, at Old Doha Port, running from 10am to 4pm.

The event is open to the public, but spots are limited and advance registration is required.

How to Join the Robotaxi Ride

To take part, interested participants must sign up through the official registration form. Registrants will be asked to provide basic personal details and choose a preferred time slot.

Each Robotaxi ride can carry up to two passengers, with participants selected from the pool of registered users and notified ahead of time.

Registration Is Free

There’s no cost to join the trial. Registration is completely free, making it an easy way for curious residents to test what the future of transport could look like in Qatar.
