Azerbaijan's Record and Fundamental Talks

Elin Suleymanov, the Azerbaijan Ambassador to the UK, highlighted Baku's history of hosting major events such as sporting tournaments and the Eurovision song contest, asserting its capability to manage the substantial demands of the COP summit.

Suleymanov further emphasized Azerbaijan's energy transition efforts, referencing a recent agreement to establish an electricity cable under the Black Sea, aiming to provide wind power to multiple countries including Romania, Bulgaria, and Hungary.

This significant shift of the COP conference to Azerbaijan, a nation historically rooted in the oil industry, signifies both a milestone in diplomacy and an opportunity to discuss energy transition strategies on a global platform.
