Amr Diab Performs in Lusail Super Cup Ceremony

Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy, the organizing committee of the Lusail Super Cup match in Qatar, announced the presence of the Egyptian singer Amr Diab in the Qatari capital Doha to perform a big party on the sidelines of the match between the Egyptian League winner Zamalek and the Saudi League winner Al Hilal, which is scheduled to be held on the 9th of next September, with the attendance of 80,000 spectators at Lusail Stadium, the biggest world cup stadium.

The statement added: "The event will witness a public turnout from both inside and outside of Qatar, as the tournament's organizing committee announced the launch of frequent flights between Doha, Cairo and Riyadh to transport fans of the two clubs."

Al Hilal will play in the Lusail Super Cup as the champion of the Saudi League season 2021/2022, as they topped its table with 67 points, two points ahead of Ittihad Jeddah.

While it was confirmed that Zamalek will participate in Lusail Super Cup after officially winning the Egyptian League title in the 2021/2022 season, ahead of Pyramids and Al-Ahly.

Hassan Al Thawadi, Secretary-General of the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy, said: "Lusail Super Cup represents the last stop in our journey before the start of the World Cup Qatar 2022."

Al-Thawadi continued: "This wonderful sporting edifice is the jewel of the Qatar World Cup stadiums, which will be the focus of the world's attention and focus when hosting the final match on September 18.”

Lusail Stadium will host matches in all rounds of the World Cup Qatar 2022, starting with the match between Argentina and Saudi Arabia on November 22 and concluding with the World Cup final on December 18, coinciding with Qatar's celebrations of the National Day.

The tournament’s organizing committee had opened door a few days ago to buy tickets for the event through the FIFA website.
