Qatari composer Dana Al Fardan will make history as the first composer from the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) to perform at the prestigious 77th Cannes Film Festival.

Her groundbreaking composition, “Indigo,” will be showcased at the Trophee Chopard Gala.

Dana Al Fardan’s performance at Cannes Film Festival 2024 will highlight her innovative approach to music. “Indigo” combines neoclassical music with electronic elements, creating a combination of sound, light, and color.

Recently, Dana Al Fardan’s music was featured in the play “Giocando con Orlando” at the Politeama Garibaldi di Palermo in Italy. Her work, performed by the Symphonic Orchestra of Sicily under conductor Giovanni Pasini, brought new life to Ludovico Ariosto’s epic poem “Orlando Furioso.”
