The event will be held at the Katara Opera House on August 27 from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m.

The Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra (QPO) is returning with yet another gorgeous musical performance, but this time, it is inspired by Gulf music.

On August 27, the band will present a special musical composition for the first time that fuses western symphonic music with typical Gulf folklore genres in an effort to enhance and preserve Khaleeji music.

By taking its cues from the traditional melody known as "Fijiri," which is associated with pearl divers and the water, the music, according to QPO, will notably showcase Qatar's long naval history.

The music for the eagerly anticipated occasion was composed by Nasser Sahim, the Philharmonic's deputy executive director, and featured vocals by Kuwaiti physician Amer Jaffar and Qatari vocalist Mansour Al Mohanadi.

Sahim has established a solid musical career through a variety of endeavors. About 30 singles have been released by him in the Gulf as a vocalist and composer, in addition to album consists of 12 songs.
