Ashghal Launches QR4.1 Billion Worth of New Projects for 2023

Ashghal, the Public Works Authority in Qatar, has revealed its "Ashghal 2023" plan, which focuses on building projects. In 2023, the authority tendered 22 new projects worth around QR4.1 billion.

Additional projects will be put up for tender in the year's third quarter.

According to Eng. Yousef Al Emadi, the Projects Affairs Director at Ashghal, the authority is committed to completing infrastructure and public buildings projects in line with the state's plan.

Among the ongoing projects are six worth QR1.1 billion, involving the construction and development of various buildings in coordination with different authorities.

Al Emadi further mentioned that around 10 projects with a value exceeding QR3 billion are currently being implemented.

Notable projects include the development of Hamad General Hospital, the establishment of the Madinat Khalifa Health Center, Qatar Sidra Academy, and the rehabilitation of the veterinary laboratory building of the Ministry of Municipality.

In addition, there are six ongoing design projects, including two projects related to the court complex and the Court of Appeal and Cassation. The latter was recently announced for a design competition to obtain the most beautiful architectural plan.

Other projects in the design phase include the main post office building in the Thumama area and the land transport customs building.
