Expo Doha Building Sets Guinness World Record for Largest Green Roof

As the launch of Expo 2023 Doha approaches, the Public Works Authority (Ashghal) has achieved a new Guinness World Record for the largest green roof in the world, built on an area of 4,031 square meters. This is a significant achievement for Qatar, as it demonstrates the country's commitment to sustainability and innovation.

The green roof is located on the main building of Expo 2023 Doha, and it is home to a variety of plants and flowers. It will help to reduce the building's energy consumption and improve air quality in the surrounding area.

Ashghal has achieved a total of six Guinness World Records, including:

  • The world's largest electric bus depot in Lusail
  • The longest air-conditioned outdoor path in Umm Al Seneem park
  • The longest continuous cycling path (Olympic cycling track)
  • The longest piece of asphalt/bituminous concrete laid continuously along Al Khor road
  • The most nationalities planting trees simultaneously

This is a testament to Ashghal's commitment to innovation and excellence in its work. The company's projects are transforming Qatar's infrastructure and making it a world-class destination for major events.
