Qatar National Team Conducts a Training Session Open to Fans

On Monday, October 3, the Qatari national football team held a training session open to fans and the media at Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium in Al Sadd Club, after returning from its camp as part of its preparations for the final stage of preparations for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.

The training was attended by His Excellency Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Thani, President of the Qatar Football Association, a number of officials in the Federation, and a large audience in the framework of the promotional campaign launched by the Federation to support the elements of "Al Adaam".

The Qatari team will enter a final camp in the Spanish city of Marbella, starting next Thursday, during which it will play several friendly matches to reach full readiness before the start of the World Cup against Ecuador on an opening day on November 20 at Al Bayt Stadium.

Felix Sanchez, the coach of the Qatari national team, expressed in press statements his happiness to return to Doha after a period of preparation in Europe that began last June, stressing the importance of that period, after it achieved the desired benefits and developed the level of players individually and collectively.

The coach stressed the great value of the last preparation period that the team started with the short camp in Doha, which will be followed by another prolonged camp in Marbella, Spain, noting that work will continue during the next important stage in order to reach full readiness before the start of the competitions.

In turn, the captain of the Qatari team, Hassan Al-Haydos, expressed his great happiness with the large presence of the fans in the training, considering that this will have a good impact on the morale of the players during the crucial and important stage that the team accepts in preparing for the World Cup, promising an honorable appearance that delights the fans.

For his part, Qatari national team defender Tariq Salman stressed that the large presence of the fans in the team’s training is a message of support for all players in order to continue work during the last important stage with the aim of reaching full readiness before the start of the World Cup, and presenting an honorable image, wishing that every player are up to their responsibility.

As for his colleague Karim Boudiaf, he stressed that the short time interval before the start of the World Cup has become a great motivation for players to focus on the preparatory training during the last stage with the aim of reaching full readiness, promising to achieve an honorable appearance in the World Cup after years of preparation.

For his part, Boualem Khoukhi, defender of the Qatari national team, stressed that everyone is aware of the great responsibility entrusted to him, during the current preparations, less than 50 days before the whistle of the first match against Ecuador, which will be hosted by al Bayt World Cup Stadium on November 20.
