Lusail International Circuit Brings Formula 1 Art Trail to the Heart of Doha

Doha is turning into an open-air Formula 1 gallery as Lusail International Circuit (LIC) unveils ten monumental helmet sculptures across the city ahead of the FORMULA 1 QATAR AIRWAYS QATAR GRAND PRIX 2025.

Standing at 1.8 meters tall, the installations will remain on display until November 30, inviting residents and visitors to explore Qatar’s heritage, creativity, and racing spirit through contemporary art. Eight of the ten helmets were designed by rising Qatari artists, celebrating national identity through the lens of motorsport, innovation, and speed.

The two official LIC-branded helmets are located at Hamad International Airport and the LIC Media Accreditation Center at St. Regis Doha.


A Citywide Helmet Trail

Each helmet has been placed in a landmark location across Doha, with every artwork carrying a distinctive story:

  • Old Doha Port – The Rise of Glory by Fatima Mohammed Shaker
    A bold expression of Qatar’s identity and global ambitions.

  • Doha Festival City – Connections by Hala Al-Darbasti
    A vivid tribute to individuality and unity.
    Al-Darbasti said, “Collaborating with Lusail International Circuit for the 2025 Qatar Grand Prix has been a truly inspiring experience…”

  • Lusail International Circuit – The Camel by Laila Al-Qaedi
    Tribal camel markings reimagined as racing-inspired patterns.

  • Msheireb Downtown – Heritage in Acceleration by Noor Abuissa
    Islamic geometry brought to life through motion and speed.

  • Place Vendôme – Fusion of Speed and Heritage by Jaber Henzab
    A vibrant merge of Qatari craftsmanship and Formula 1 precision.
    Henzab said, “I’m proud to collaborate… and honored to contribute to an event of such global significance.”

  • Qatar Foundation – Velocity of Heritage by Kaltham Al-Fakhroo
    Traditional motifs fused with the circuit’s dynamic energy.
    Al-Fakhroo noted, “Working on a helmet dedicated to one of my favorite sports has been an incredible opportunity…”

  • Souq Waqif – The Land of Abundance and Oysters by Zainab AlShibani
    A poetic tribute to pearl-diving traditions and racing excellence.

  • LIC VVIP Lounge – The Falcon: A Renewed Legacy by Noura Abdulrahman Al Ibrahim
    The Saker falcon becomes a symbol of engineering and national pride.


Celebrating Qatari Innovation

Fatima Al Qaedi, Marketing Manager at Lusail International Circuit, said:
“This city-wide exhibition is an appreciation to Qatari creativity… every piece reflects how effortlessly Qatar moves between deep-rooted heritage and high-speed innovation.”

She encouraged fans to “follow the helmet trail” and experience Formula 1 through the eyes of Qatari artists.
