Remember when “adulting” felt like a playful way to describe paying rent or booking your own dentist appointment? Yeah—same. But fast forward a few years, and the term feels less like a funny TikTok caption and more like a dusty meme from 2015.

Let’s be real: most of us are out here juggling jobs, taxes, plants, and emotional trauma like it’s a full-time sport. Calling it “adulting” almost minimizes the effort it takes. You’re not awkwardly pretending to be a grown-up. You are one—even if you still Google how to boil an egg.
