Saudi Residents Can Now Get a Multi-Entry, Two-Month Hayya Visa to Qatar

Saudi Arabian residents now have access to a new multi-entry Hayya Visa for Qatar, allowing stays of up to 60 days per entry under the updated A2 visa category.

The shift from single-entry to multiple-entry visas marks a major upgrade in regional mobility, making short trips and repeated travel across the GCC significantly easier for residents.

According to Qatar’s Hayya platform, GCC residents with valid permits from any GCC country — including Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait, and Oman — remain eligible for visas on arrival. The new multi-entry option, however, offers far greater convenience for those who frequently travel between Saudi Arabia and Qatar.

Requirements for the A2 Hayya Visa

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Passport valid for at least three months from the arrival date

• GCC residency ID valid for one month from arrival

• Return flight ticket, required for air travellers

• Hayya E-Visa application

• SAR102 fee

How the Hayya System Works

The Qatari government states that digital verification through the Hayya platform remains mandatory. As outlined by Travel and Tour World, the process involves:

1. Digital application via hayya.qa

2. GCC residency verification

3. Approval by Qatari immigration systems

4. Electronic entry permit issuance

5. Border verification through QR code scanning

A Growing Trend of Seamless GCC Travel

The announcement coincides with preparations for the GCC Grand Tours Visa, which enters its pilot phase this month in the UAE and Bahrain. Once fully rolled out across all six member states, the unified tourist visa will allow travellers to explore the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, Kuwait, and Bahrain using a single permit — boosting regional tourism and simplifying multi-country Gulf itineraries.
