Qatari Public Parks Will Receive Visitors From 5 AM to 2 AM During Eid

Qatar’s Ministry of Municipality announced that public parks in the country will open from 5 am until 2 am to receive visitors during Eid Al-Fitr holidays.

Parks will be close for only three hours for cleaning and maintenance.

“We’re expecting a large number of visitors to public parks during Eid al-Fitr due to the pleasant weather. So the Ministry of Municipality has prepared the public parks operating across the country,” said Mohammed Abdullah, Head of the Parks Section in the Doha Municipality.

“With the development of a sporty culture in the community, public parks have started receiving a growing number of visitors, especially during holidays and festivities. In addition to several family parks, there’re a number of parks in Qatar which are receiving general public including families and individuals,” said Abdullah.

The Qatari public parks received a total of 131,961 visitors during the Eid Al-Fitr holiday last year, according to figures issued by the Ministry of Municipality.

The number of public parks in the country saw a 164% increase, hiking from 56 in 2010 to 148 in 2022.
