Qatar to Host First All-Women Abaya Rally at Lusail

Start your engines — and fasten those heels. Qatar is set to make history on May 24, 2025, as the first-ever all-women Abaya Rally takes over Lusail International Circuit.

After four epic editions in the UAE, the Abaya Rally finally rolls into Doha — and it’s bringing major main-character energy.

Billed as a bold celebration of female empowerment, individuality, and cultural pride, the event will see over 150 women from across the region drive everything from luxury sports cars to decked-out 4x4s — all while wearing abayas. But this isn’t just about speed; it’s about shifting gears on what empowerment looks like in Qatar and beyond.

With a vision aligned to Qatar National Vision 2030 and inspired by the leadership of Her Highness Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, the Abaya Rally celebrates women who are not only driving vehicles, but also driving progress.

Organized by Orbit Events, the Qatar debut introduces an all-new theme: “Abayas, Heels & Horsepower” — an unapologetic mix of glamour, grit, and gas pedals. From the red carpet to panel talks with regional trailblazers, the rally is blending style and substance like never before.
