Hamad Airport Breaks All-Time Record in August 2025 With 5 Million Passengers

Hamad International Airport just smashed its own record—serving over five million passengers in August 2025, the highest monthly figure in its history. That’s a 6.4% jump compared to last year.

More direct travelers

Out of those numbers, 1.3 million were point-to-point passengers flying directly to or from Qatar. That segment alone grew 12% year-on-year, proving direct travel demand is on the rise.

What fueled the surge

Qatar Airways boosted flights to more than 15 destinations, while partners like Virgin Australia, Philippine Airlines, and Air Arabia also ramped up services. These moves gave travelers more routes and smoother connections through Doha.

Passengers stayed happy

Even with record traffic, service didn’t slip. Surveys showed a 98% overall satisfaction score, with 92% of travelers praising the airport’s security process.
