Argentina Dominates the Qatar 2022 World Cup Individual Awards

Argentina National Team dominated the individual awards at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, after winning the title at the expense of France.

Argentina won the World Cup by defeating France on penalties, 4-2, after the match ended in a 3-3 draw.

During the coronation ceremony, the Argentine national team had the lion's share, as Enzo Fernandez won the Best Young Player award at the World Cup in Qatar.

Emiliano Martinez, the Argentine goalkeeper, was crowned the best goalkeeper in the tournament, after his exceptional performance, especially his role in the penalty shootout during the quarter-final matches between the Netherlands and France in the final, in addition to his wonderful save in the last minutes of the round of 16 match against Australia.

The legend Messi won the award for the best player in the tournament, after scoring 7 goals (two goals in the final match) and assisting 3, which is the second time that he has won after the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

The only exception was Kylian Mbappe, the France striker, who won the Golden Boot as a scorer for the Qatar 2022 World Cup with 8 goals scored in the tournament, including a hat-trick in the final match.

It is worth noting that the Argentine national team won the World Cup for the third time in its history and the first since 1986 when the late Diego Armando Maradona led Tango to win the World Cup at the time.
