Qatar authorities have foiled another attempt to smuggle illegal drugs into the country, the Ministry of Interior announced.

However, the quantity of the drugs has not been disclosed.
The General Directorate of Drug Enforcement apprehended a substantial quantity of narcotics that was bound for Qatar.
This step came in collaboration with the General Directorate of Coasts and Borders Security and the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya).
The prohibited drugs were dropped near Qatar's coasts, with the intention of being smuggled into the country by sea, the ministry said.
