Air defence systems in Qatar intercepted missiles over Doha on Thursday after the country came under attack, according to the Qatar Ministry of Defense.
Missile Attack Targets Doha
In a statement, the ministry confirmed that Qatar had been subjected to a missile attack and that air defence systems were actively intercepting the incoming threats.

Loud explosions were heard across Doha as defence units responded, while smoke was seen rising over parts of the city.
Officials have not reported any casualties so far.
Evacuations Near US Embassy
As a precaution, authorities ordered the temporary evacuation of residents living in buildings near the Embassy of the United States in Doha.
The order was issued by the Qatar Ministry of Interior, which said residents were relocated to safer locations while the situation is assessed.
Authorities stressed that the evacuation is preventive and that alternative accommodation has been arranged for those affected.
Public Urged to Stay Calm
Officials are urging citizens, residents, and visitors to remain calm and follow instructions from security authorities.
The government also reminded the public to rely only on official updates and avoid spreading rumours as the situation develops.
