Qatar is gearing up for a spike in temperatures starting tomorrow, Tuesday, May 27, 2025, according to the Qatar Meteorology Department.

In a social media post, the department shared a temperature forecast map showing that the heat is expected to continue rising throughout the week. Some areas along the eastern coast could see maximum temperatures soaring into the mid-40s Celsius.
So far, the country has been experiencing hot daytime conditions, with moderate northwesterly to northeasterly winds. Daily temperatures have been fluctuating between 26°C and 45°C and now, that upper limit is set to rise even higher.

It’s not just Qatar feeling the heat. Kuwait’s Meteorological Department has also issued a similar warning, with forecasts predicting extreme highs of up to 51°C in parts of Kuwait City.
Over in the UAE, temperatures recently hit a scorching 51.6°C for two days in a row, setting a new record for the month of May and surpassing the previous high of 50.2°C.
As the Gulf enters peak summer conditions, residents are advised to stay hydrated, limit outdoor exposure during peak hours, and follow any heat safety updates from local authorities.
