Al Hosn App: 48 Hours Green Pass Validity for Non-vaccinated Visitors

According to what was stated in the official account of the Al-Hosn application on Twitter, which was recently developed as a result of the repercussions of the Corona pandemic, users can maintain their green state in the application by performing a nasal swab every 48 hours for those who are not vaccinated or partially vaccinated.

Those who are fully vaccinated with the booster dose six months after the second dose should have a nasal swab every 14 days.

It was explained that verifying the profile on the Al-Hosn app after registering as a visitor requires performing a nose swab after arriving in the country, and making sure, during the examination, that the same mobile phone registered on the Al-Hosn app is used.

The site specified seven steps to register as a visitor to enter the Al-Hosn application; downloading the application, pressing the visitor icon, selecting the registration option, filling in the user’s data, reviewing the data and following up, and entering the six-digit passcode, which is sent to the user’s phone, in addition, to verifying the user's profile upon arrival in the UAE.

It has been pointed out that the method of obtaining a QR code for a travel permit on the application requires residents to take at least one dose of any vaccination for the Covid-19 virus, in addition to making sure that a year has not passed since obtaining the last dose, while citizens need to be fully vaccinated, and have received the booster dose, in addition to making sure that a year has not passed since getting the last dose.

It is worth noting that the Al-Hosn application is the official application of the UAE for tests related to the Covid-19 virus, and once registered in the Al-Hosn application, the user’s account is automatically linked to any examination or vaccination facility across the Emirates.
