Traffic Department Launches Special License Plates with Expo Doha Logo

In a recent announcement, the General Directorate of Traffic has revealed the introduction of license plates featuring the Expo 2023 Doha logo. Effective November 16, 2023, motorists can obtain these unique plates by adhering to specified guidelines and paying the designated fee.

The Ministry of Interior clarified that registration for the new license plate is optional and open to all interested vehicle owners, emphasizing that it is not a mandatory requirement, even for first-time registrations. It was further highlighted that the exclusive Expo 2023 Doha logo license plate is specifically designed for private vehicles.

However, the Ministry issued a stern warning against counterfeiting or unauthorized installation of the logo, stating that violators may face legal consequences.
