Third Edition of Qatar Economic Forum Kicks Off on May 23rd in Doha

The third edition of the Qatar Economic Forum kicked off on Tuesday, May 23rd and will run until Thursday, May 25th, in Doha to help identify the latest economic trends.

Heads of government and influential business leaders are participating in the third edition of the forum, which will present new growth opportunities available to the global business community.

The Bloomberg event is also expected to help in driving the community toward a new global growth story.

More than 50 keynote speakers -- including heads of state, and leading global investors -- are expected to talk at various sessions about the latest economic trends, difficulties, and post-pandemic recovery.

Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed spoke at the forum. He talked about Qatar's economic resilience in the last decade, which made it a reliable international partner.

The minister also highlighted that Qatar achieved a 9.9% growth in non-oil profits and 4.8% in the oil sector in the first quarter of 2022. 

The Foreign Minister also highlights other key achievements of Qatar such as the success of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, which made Qatar the first Arab country to host the football world cup. 

Sheikh Mohammed also highlighted how Qatar has the best airport and best airline in the world as well as the most resilient wealth funds. 

President & CEO The Boeing Company David L. Calhoun and CEO TikTok Shou Chew are among the confirmed speakers.

The forum is an opportunity for international leaders to debate strategies to promote global economic recovery in a long-term and comprehensive way.

The event is expected to attract over 1,000 global attendees from global enterprises across industries.
