The annual Qatar Economic Forum, powered by Bloomberg and held in collaboration with Qatar’s Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MOCI), has been officially postponed to a later date in 2026.
Originally scheduled to convene in Doha from May 12–14, 2026, the event will now be rescheduled to ensure optimal conditions for global engagement. In an official statement released by the organizers, Bloomberg Media and the MOCI confirmed that the decision was made following consultations with partners and in consideration of "ongoing developments in the region."
"This decision has been taken by Bloomberg Media and MOCI in consultation with partners, taking into account ongoing developments in the region," the statement read. "The Forum will reconvene under conditions that enable strong international participation and a high-quality experience for all."
While specific new dates have not yet been set, organizers promised that an updated program and the revised schedule would be announced in due course. The postponement aims to facilitate robust attendance from international delegates and ensure the forum maintains its reputation as a premier platform for economic dialogue.
Despite the delay to the main event, the organizers emphasized that the momentum behind the forum's mission remains intact. Complementary global programming and advisory council initiatives designed to support the forum's objectives will continue to operate throughout the interim period.
The Qatar Economic Forum has long served as a critical nexus for policymakers, business leaders, and financial experts to discuss global economic trends and regional opportunities. The rescheduling underscores the organizers' commitment to prioritizing safety and logistical feasibility amidst the evolving geopolitical landscape.
