The Promotional Tour of The World Cup Original Version Ends in Katara

The curtain has come down on Tuesday 10 may, on the activities of the promotional tour of the original version of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, which was organized over the past few days, as part of the promotional plans that precede the holding of the first World Cup in the Arab region and the Middle East.

The Katara Cultural Village hosted a closing ceremony for the original World Cup, and the mass ceremony included wonderful performances in the presence of many prominent personalities, including the Brazilian football legend and Qatar Legacy ambassador Cafu Marcos Evangelista, a two-time World Cup winner with his national team.

The 22nd edition of the World Cup was welcomed by the masses on the sixth and final day of the promotional tour, and the events witnessed great interest from Katara visitors and a crowd of employees and workers, as everyone raced to take memorial photos with the cup, which made of pure 18-karat gold weighing 5 kilograms, and a height of 14.4 inches, to remain a lasting memory of this unique experience.

On this occasion, Khaled Al-Nama, the official spokesman for the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy, expressed, in an exclusive statement to Qatar News Agency (QNA), his happiness with the festive atmosphere that accompanied the last leg of the promotional tour at Katara, which witnessed a wide public interaction.

Khaled Al-Naama also said: We are very pleased with this great turnout, and the launch of this promotional tour from Qatar, which is hosting the tournament for the first time in the Arab region and the Middle East, during the period from November 21. Until December 18, 2022.

We are also pleased to cooperate with Katara Cultural Village, which hosted the closing day of the promotional tour, and to celebrate the launch of this trophy on its world tour.”

And he pointed out that the International Football Association (FIFA) will reveal the next destination for the cup, and the countries in which it will land, as the cup will be present in the 32 countries qualified for the World Cup, in addition to some Gulf countries.

Al-Naama concluded his statement to QNA: "We recommend fans around the world to follow the official accounts of FIFA and the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy in order to learn about the countries that the cup will visit, before returning again to Doha before the start of the World Cup in November.

For her part, Mrs. Malika Muhammad Al Shuraim, Director of Media Department at Katara Cultural Village, expressed her happiness at the large crowd, which marked the closing day of the promotional tour of the original version of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.

And she pointed to the rise in enthusiasm among the masses, who are now waiting for the moment of the launch of the global event next November.

With just less than 200 days before the opening match of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, the Cup Tour event is a celebration of the original version of the World Cup and precedes the second World Cup round, which will conclude in Doha before the opening match whistle at Al Bayt Stadium on 21 next
