The Cultural Village Foundation "Katara" crowned the children who won the first place in the Katara competition for the memorization of the Holy Qur’an in its eleventh session. It also honored the children participating in the competition, Mr. Jassim Fakhro, the supervisor of the competition, handed over the winning children and participants financial prizes and certificates of appreciation, in the presence of parents.

Sheikh Muhammad Makki, the father of three children who participated in the competition, expressed his happiness at Katara’s return to organizing the Holy Quran memorization competition, in the presence of the children, after easing the precautionary measures related to combating the Coronavirus, explaining that the eleventh session of the competition came with a new Ramadan flavor through the children’s reunion, and their regularity in the Quranic circles inside Katara Mosque and Golden Mosque.

In his turn, the father of the child, Abdullah Saadoun, praised the prominent and important role that Katara plays in cooperation with the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs by launching a series of paragraphs, activities, and religious lectures that distinguish the Katara competition for memorizing the Holy Qur’an, expressing his happiness with the success of the competition in linking his son to the Book of God through his recitation and memorization of the surahs and verses of the Qur’an. The Holy Quran and contemplation of its meanings and implementation of its provisions.

For their part, the children participating in the Katara competition for the memorization of the Holy Qur’an expressed their happiness with this honor, which they received through their participation in the competition, expressing their joy at what they achieved in reciting and memorizing the surahs of the Qur’an, and reviewing them daily.

The Cultural Village Foundation "Katara" had launched the eleventh session of the Katara competition for memorizing the Holy Quran, with the participation of (35) children ranging in age from (10-15) years, including (20) males. Those who attended four circles at Katara Mosque, and (15) females who attended three circles at the Golden Mosque.

The eleventh session of the Katara Competition for the memorization of the Holy Qur’an included teaching and memorizing parts and surahs of the Holy Qur’an, under the supervision of qualified memorizers from the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs, who were carefully selected from those with competence and experience, while the Qur’anic session in both Katara Mosque and the Golden Mosque hosted a group of distinguished preachers, to provide children with useful and purposeful religious instructions and directions, which include an explanation of some of the honorable prophetic hadith, in addition to teaching children the duties and pillars of Islam, in addition to teaching them ablution and prayer. These lectures also include stories of the prophets, the Prophet’s biography, and Islamic manners.
