Syrian Embassy in Qatar Now Accepting Donations for Syria

The Syrian embassy in Qatar started accepting donations from Thursday for those affected by earthquakes that hit Turkey and Syria this week. The donations will go on for 9 more days from Friday from 4pm-10 pm daily.

“The Syrian embassy in the State of Qatar, in cooperation with Qatar Charity, announced an urgent relief fund for in-kind and material donations for the victims of the earthquake that affected our loved ones in northern Syria,” the statement read.

Winter clothes, blankets, and sleeping bags, diapers for children and adults, sanitary pads, canned food that do not expire within six months, baby formula, flashlights, and power banks are all needed items.

The death toll from the earthquakes is over 17,000 in Turkey, and more than 3,000 in Syria after a 7.8 earthquake hit the two countries on Monday.
