The special exhibition Art Mill Museum 2030 will be on display to the public from 24 October 2022 through 30 March 2023 at the Qatar Flour Mills Warehouse and the recently renovated Al Najada Heritage House #15 in Doha in honor of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022TM and the year-round national cultural movement Qatar Creates. The exhibition will provide an overview of the Art Mill Museum's idea, the ELEMENTAL architectural proposal under the direction of Pritzker Prize-winning architect Alejandro Aravena, as well as the landscape design, with an eye toward the museum's inauguration in 2030.

The Art Mill Museum

The Art Mill Museum completes a cultural district that already includes the Museum of Islamic Art, MIA Park, and the National Museum of Qatar. It will house an exceptional and international art collection gathered over the past 40 years, with multidisciplinary works of enormous diversity dating from 1850 to the present. The Art Mill Museum will feature iconic works of visual art together with architecture and design, films and film props, fashion, crafts, and much more in a primary structure that is 80,000 square meters in size. It will represent modern and contemporary art from all over the world equally as a pioneering institution in the non-Western world, engaging both domestic and foreign audiences with a variety of art historical narratives.

Site 1: From Flour to Art

The construction the exhibition From Flour to Art offers the public a first look into what will eventually make up the complex while also introducing the museum's vision. Visitors may watch as Alejandro Aravena, an architect, and ELEMENTAL rebuild the existing structure, which is notable for its magnificent concrete silos, to create a museum that includes a creative hamlet and public park. An engaging exhibition featuring authentic models, sketches, and renderings will show how the project has evolved since the worldwide design competition in 2016.
