Qatar's Falcon Exhibition, aka S'hail, to Kick Off in September

The seventh edition of the Katara International Hunting and Falcons Exhibition, popularly known as S'hail, will take place from Sep. 5 to Sep. 9 at Al Hikma Square in Katara Cultural Village.

The exhibition is hosted to preserve and highlight the rich cultural heritage of hunters and falconers. 

In the 2022 edition of the exhibition, 180 leading companies specialising in hunting weapons, falcons, and much more participated.

Twenty countries took part in the exhibition including the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Germany, Canada, Luxembourg, and many others. 

S'hail was first established in 2017 and is carried out in four distinct stages.

The event hosts educational programs, environmental initiatives, world-class exhibitions, and much more.

S'hail is also known as Canopus and implies 'new beginnings' and serves as the guiding light for birds and hunters, marking the beginning of the new hunting season.

In the commercial field, S'hail signifies the beginning of the hunting and falconry trade.
