The Brazilian Football Association officially announced the absence of striker Gabriel Jesus and defender Alex Telles from the national team for the rest of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 matches, after the injury suffered by the two players at the end of the group stage matches against the Cameroonian national team, as Alex Telles left the field in the 54th minute after suffering a severe knee injury, before the turn came only ten minutes later, to Gabriel Jesus, who was also injured in his right knee.

And the Brazilian Federation announced in an official statement that the players underwent in-depth medical examinations in the presence of the team's doctor, Rodrigo Lasmar, and the results of the magnetic resonance imaging revealed that the players' injuries were severe, and it is impossible to recover before the end of the World Cup, and therefore they will be absent from the Brazilian national team.

It is noteworthy that the Brazilian national team also suffers from the absence of its star Neymar and its full-backs Danilo and Alex Sandro.

It is worth noting that the Brazil national team will face South Korea on Monday, December 5, at Stadium 974, in the 16th round of the 2022 Qatar World Cup.
