Education City Stadium Will Hold Eid Prayers for the First Time

The Education City Stadium, which was one of the venues of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, will open its doors for Eid prayers for the first time ever this year, Minaretein, the Education City Mosque, announced.

Eid Al Fitr prayer is expected to start on Friday, April 21st, around 5:20 am local time, however, the exact date depends on the sighting of the crescent moon.

Ramadan 29th falls on Thursday, April 20th, and the moon sighting committee will meet up to confirm the start of Eid. If the crescent moon is spotted on that night, it means that Eid Al Fitr will start on Friday, April 21st.

However, if the moon is not spotted that night, then the first day of Eid will fall on Saturday, April 22nd.

Ramadan is expected to last for 29 days in 2023, according to astronomical calculations.

Minaretein added that worshippers can also take part in an Eid Festival organized by the Minaretein Center.
