Doha Named the 10th Safest City for Tourists in the World in 2023

Doha, Qatar has been named the 10th safest tourist destination in the world for 2023, according to Get Licensed, a UK-based security training marketplace.

The Gulf city achieved a global city safety score of 7.56, which tied it with Ljubljana, Slovenia for tenth place. 

Here is a list of the top 10 safest cities for tourists in 2023:

3. Bergen
4. Kyoto
5. Taipei
6. Singapore
7. Copenhagen
8. Salzburg
9. Tokyo
10. Doha

Meanwhile, the least safe tourist cities worldwide were Lagos, Lima, Mexico City, New Delhi, and Manila.

The ranking is calculated based on various safety metrics, such as crime and homicide rates, public confidence in law enforcement, concerns about being mugged or robbed, and feeling safe walking alone at night.
