Recently astronomers have discovered a strange cosmic object known as Cloud 9, which is said to be a potential starless galaxy and a rare remnant of the young universe. In contrast to the normal galaxies that emit light because of the presence of billions of stars, this object seems to have the dominance of dark matter and gas that have little or no visible starlight. Its discovery is now making researchers rethink the formation, evolution of the galaxies and the fact that they fail to ignite in the traditional manner.
