A child was injured after an Iranian attack targeting Qatar on Sunday morning, the country’s Ministry of Interior said.

The ministry said the child was hurt by falling shrapnel after interception operations. The child is now receiving the needed medical treatment.

Security teams activate response plans

Qatar’s security authorities and Civil Defence teams have started procedures under approved response plans following the attack, the ministry said.

Authorities are still monitoring the situation on the ground. They are also working to keep the public safe, maintain security, and ensure services continue normally.

Qatar urges public to rely on official updates

The Ministry of Interior asked citizens and residents to get news only from official sources. It also urged people not to share rumours or unverified photos and videos.
