The Qatar Ministry of Education and Higher Education has announced a revision to the extended holiday dates for public schools during the 2025–2026 academic year.

According to the ministry, the holiday following the second semester mid-term exams will now take place on Wednesday and Thursday, April 22–23, 2026, instead of the previously scheduled dates of April 8–9.
The adjustment ensures that the extended break comes after the completion of all scheduled examinations.
The ministry confirmed that the change applies only to government schools, while private schools will continue to follow the originally approved academic calendar.
For private institutions, the extended holiday will remain on April 8–9, 2026, as previously planned.
The update is part of ongoing efforts to align academic schedules with examination timelines and ensure a smoother school calendar for students and staff.
