Qatar will resume in-person classes across all educational institutions from Sunday, April 12, 2026, authorities have confirmed.

The decision, announced by the Qatar Ministry of Education and Higher Education, covers nurseries, kindergartens, public and private schools, as well as educational service centres.
As students return to classrooms, government schools will implement a revised assessment system. Instead of traditional mid-term exams for the second semester, students will complete flexible online assessments designed to evaluate learning progress.
Officials said the change aims to ensure a smooth transition back to in-person learning while maintaining academic standards.
