Qatar Airways Reopens Travel Routes to Iraq, Lebanon, & More
Qatar Airways has officially confirmed the full resumption of its flight operations to Iraq, Lebanon, Jordan, and Syria following the lifting of airspace restrictions in the region. Starting June 30, 2025, the airline will begin restoring its network across key destinations in the Middle East, reconnecting passengers to cities that had been temporarily suspended.

Iraq: Five Destinations Return to the Schedule
Qatar Airways is bringing back flights to five cities across Iraq, with schedules ramping up in phases:
Baghdad (BGW):
- 16 weekly flights from June 30
- Includes daily flights (QR442/443) and flights operating daily except Saturdays (QR444/445)
- Three additional weekly flights (QR458/459) restart on July 8
Erbil (EBL):
- Seven weekly flights resume July 1 (QR450/451)
- Additional three weekly flights (QR454/455) restart July 9
- Total: 10 weekly flights
Sulaymaniyah (ISU):
- Daily flights resume from July 2 (QR436/437)
Najaf (NJF):
- Five weekly flights resume July 2 on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (QR460/461)
Basra (BSR):
- Daily service resumes from July 3 (QR448/449)
Syria: Flights to Damascus Resume With Double Daily Service
Flights to Damascus (DAM) will resume on July 6 with a daily service (QR410/411).
- From July 15, Qatar Airways will add a second daily flight (QR412/413), increasing the total to 14 weekly flights.

Lebanon and Jordan: More Flights to Beirut and Amman
Starting July 1, Qatar Airways will ramp up its flights to Beirut and Amman to 21 weekly services each:
Beirut (BEY):
- Flights increase from 14 to 21 per week
- Daily departures: QR418/419
Amman (AMM):
- Flights increase from 14 to 21 per week
- Daily departures: QR404/405
