Qatar Airways, PAL Start Daily Direct Manila–Doha Flights
The two carriers begin a new codeshare service, offering better connections and travel options between Qatar and the Philippines
Travel between the Philippines and Qatar just got easier. Qatar Airways and Philippine Airlines have officially started their daily nonstop service between Manila and Doha, offering more flexibility and improved connections for both business and leisure travellers.
The new route was launched with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at Hamad International Airport (DOH), attended by top executives from both airlines.
A Stronger Airline Partnership
This daily service is part of a new codeshare agreement between the two carriers. According to Qatar Airways’ Chief Commercial Officer Thierry Antinori, the collaboration is expected to boost connectivity for passengers traveling to and from the Philippines through Doha’s award-winning airport hub.
“We’re excited to expand our airline partnerships with Philippine Airlines. This move strengthens travel options between our two countries and improves global access for Filipino travellers,” said Antinori.
Philippine Airlines President Richard Nuttall echoed the sentiment, calling the partnership a major step toward better serving the growing demand between Qatar and the Philippines.
“By working together, we can expand access, improve convenience, and provide more seamless connections for our passengers,” Nuttall added.
New Daily Schedule and Aircraft Details
The daily flights will be operated by Philippine Airlines using its Airbus A330-300, equipped with 18 flat-bed seats in Business Class and 341 seats in Economy Class.

Manila to Doha (QR4946/PR684): Departs at 6:50 PM, arrives 11:40 PM

Doha to Manila (QR4947/PR685): Departs at 1:30 AM, arrives 4:15 PM
Travellers connecting via Doha will also gain access to Qatar Airways’ global network of over 170 destinations, making it easier to reach cities across Europe, the Americas, Africa, and Asia.

Qatar Airways already flies to Manila, Cebu, Clark, and Davao, offering international passengers multiple options to explore the Philippines' islands, beaches, and vibrant cities. The partnership aims to make the Philippines even more accessible to travellers from regions like the UK, US, Brazil, and Spain, who can now enjoy improved routing and shorter transit times via Doha.
