The codeshare agreement will link the two carriers' operations through the capital city of Serbia.

"This partnership will allow us to expand our footprint in the Central and Eastern European markets where we are looking forward to offering additional travel choices for our customers," Qatar Airways Group CEO Akbar Al Baker said.

As per the agreement, Air Serbia will also add its code on Qatar Airways' nonstop flights between Belgrade and Baku, Hong Kong, Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth, Adelaide, and Sydney.

Qatar Airways operates five weekly flights between its hub in Doha and Belgrade at the present time, using Airbus A320-200 aircraft.
