Posting on his Truth Social platform, Trump said:

“Iran has officially responded to our Obliteration of their Nuclear Facilities with a very weak response, which we expected, and have very effectively countered.”

He went on to express gratitude for the heads-up from Iran, adding, “I want to thank Iran for giving us early notice, which made it possible for no lives to be lost, and nobody to be injured.”

No Casualties Reported After Missile Strike

The Iranian military claimed its missile barrage on the al-Udeid base was “devastating and powerful,” but US officials confirmed there were no injuries or fatalities among personnel. Qatar’s Ministry of Defense also said its air defenses had intercepted incoming missiles targeting the base.

Al-Udeid, located southwest of Doha, is the largest US military installation in the Middle East and plays a critical role in American operations across the region.

Iran Warned US and Qatar Before the Attack

A senior regional source told Reuters that Iran notified the US via two diplomatic channels, reportedly through intermediaries in Oman and Switzerland, hours before launching the missiles. Qatar was also informed, which enabled defensive systems to respond quickly.

Trump Urges Peace, Encourages Israel to Do the Same

In his post, Trump suggested that Iran had "gotten it all out of their system" and encouraged a peaceful path forward in the region.

“Perhaps Iran can now proceed to Peace and Harmony in the Region, and I will enthusiastically encourage Israel to do the same,” he wrote.

He also urged Iran to seek peace with Israel and said he did not expect further retaliation from Tehran.

Rising Tensions After US Strikes on Iran’s Nuclear Sites

The missile strike came in response to US airstrikes over the weekend that targeted underground Iranian nuclear facilities using powerful 30,000-pound bunker-buster bombs. The US attacks followed Israel’s intensified air campaign against Iran, escalating tensions throughout the region.

Trump previously hinted that the Iranian regime could face collapse if it escalated further.
