South Korea Qualified to AFC Asian Cup Semifinals with Jordan

In a thrilling showdown at Al Janoub Stadium, Son Heung-min's heroics secured South Korea's place in the AFC Asian Cup semifinals after a sensational 2-1 comeback win against Australia.

Australia had taken the lead with a 42nd-minute goal from Craig Goodwin's close-range volley. However, the 31-year-old drew a crucial foul from Lewis Miller, allowing Hwang Hee-chan to convert a spot-kick past Maty Ryan. Son Heung-min then delivered a trademark free-kick in the 14th minute of extra time, securing the victory for Jurgen Klinsmann’s team.

In another AFC Asian Cup quarterfinal clash, Jordan made history by reaching the semifinals for the first time. Their 1-0 triumph over Tajikistan, courtesy of a Vahdat Hanonov own goal, sets up an exciting semifinal clash with South Korea.

South Korea will face Jordan in the semifinals at the Ahmad bin Ali Stadium on Tuesday, February 6th, promising another intense matchup in the AFC Asian Cup.

After a thrilling encounter that saw Australia's Aiden O’Neill sent off for a dangerous tackle, Son Heung-min's exceptional performance has solidified South Korea's bid for the championship. The stage is set for an exciting semifinal showdown between two determined teams.
