Qatar Airways to Resume Flights to Iraq, Lebanon & Jordan

If you’ve been waiting to book that summer trip to Baghdad, Beirut, or Amman, it’s time to pack your bags — Qatar Airways just confirmed it’s resuming full operations across Iraq, Lebanon, and Jordan, following temporary disruptions.

In a fresh travel update issued by the airline, flights to several airports in the region will be reinstated starting June 30, 2025, with phased reopenings across major cities in Iraq. Services to Beirut and Amman will return to full capacity by July 1.

Here’s the full breakdown of restart dates:

🛫 Iraq

  • Baghdad Airport (BGW): from June 30, 2025
  • Erbil Airport (EBL): from July 1, 2025
  • Sulaymaniyah Airport (ISU): from July 2, 2025
  • Najaf Airport (NJF): from July 2, 2025
  • Basra Airport (BSR): from July 3, 2025

🇱🇧 Lebanon

  • Beirut-Rafic Hariri International Airport (BEY): full schedule resumes July 1, 2025

🇯🇴 Jordan

  • Queen Alia International Airport (AMM): full operations resume July 1, 2025

Still Paused: Flights to Iran & Syria

While flights to Iraq, Lebanon, and Jordan are back in action, Qatar Airways noted that services to Iran and Syria remain suspended for now. The airline is actively monitoring the situation and will issue more updates as needed.
