PAL, Qatar Airways Team Up for Daily Manila-Doha Flights

Philippine Airlines (PAL) is stepping up its game by launching a codeshare partnership with Qatar Airways. Starting June 16, PAL will upgrade its Manila-to-Doha flights to daily service, offering travelers more flight options between the two cities.

Under the first phase of the deal, Qatar Airways will codeshare on PAL’s nonstop Manila-Doha flights, adding them to its growing network. This move is expected to make transfers easier for passengers and give them more choices when flying either airline.

More Connections for Travelers

The partnership also opens up wider international access. Passengers heading to Doha can tap into Qatar Airways’ network of over 170 destinations across Africa, the Americas, Europe, Central Asia, and the Middle East — with convenient transfers through Hamad International Airport, ranked as one of the world's best.

Meanwhile, travelers flying into Manila can explore PAL’s domestic routes to top Philippine destinations like Boracay, Cebu, Davao, and Puerto Princesa.

Supporting Tourism, Trade, and OFW Travel

PAL President Stanley Ng said the move to daily flights is backed by strong optimism, especially with Qatar Airways' support in promoting the route. He added that the expanded service is expected to boost tourism, trade, and business links between the Philippines and Qatar.

Ng also highlighted that the daily flights would make it easier for overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) to travel to Qatar — one of the top destinations for OFWs according to the Philippine Statistics Authority.

More Plans Ahead for PAL and Qatar Airways

Qatar Airways Chief Commercial Officer Thierry Antinori said the codeshare agreement is just the beginning, with plans for both airlines to expand the partnership further, including shared destinations and mileage programs.

Starting June 16, PAL’s flight to Doha will depart Manila at 6:50 PM and land at 11:40 PM local time. The return flight leaves Doha at 1:30 AM and arrives in Manila at 4:15 PM. PAL will use its Airbus A330-300, configured with 18 business class seats and 341 economy seats.
