The summer holidays are in full swing, and that familiar buzz is building across the UK, so many of us are already planning days out or catching up with friends over the latest sporting chatter. The Commonwealth Games go back to Glasgow from 23 July to 2 August 2026 with around 3,000 athletes from 74 nations and territories competing in a more compact format across just four venues. This simplified version has been announced by the Commonwealth Games Federation, which calls it an exciting opportunity to celebrate sport and community spirit in Scotland’s largest city.
